A marriage with a clock on it.
Cole Redding has until his thirtieth birthday to be married, or the house in Bel Air goes to someone else. Miranda Calder has a fee, a contract and eight weeks. The executor of the will has one rule, and she means it: no kiss, unless she is in the room to see it.
That is the whole premise, and it is enough. Every episode is forty-five seconds long, shot vertical, set in the same three rooms of the same house in 1995 — the salon, the master bedroom, the pool terrace at night. The light comes from table lamps, candles and the blue of the window. Nothing in frame was made after the year it is set in.
Both leads are OMNI synthetic talents, certified and held identical across every frame of the season. What you see on these pages is episode one, the wedding night: one room, one contract on the side table, and a doorbell at the end.
She answers the smaller question.
She agreed to marry a near-stranger for a fee, and she behaves like a woman who has read the contract twice. She never explains. Asked a big question, she answers a smaller one and lets the silence do the rest.
She knows this house better than a new wife should. Where the light switches are. Which stair creaks. Cole has not noticed yet.
Tonight she wears the ivory slip she was married in, no veil, and a ring she has not looked at once.

He talks one sentence too long.
Without the inheritance he has nothing he built himself, and he knows it, which is why he is so pleasant about everything. When he is tested he stumbles, corrects himself and stumbles again.
Somewhere around the fourth episode he starts meaning the marriage. He will be the last person in the house to find out.
Tonight: the wedding tuxedo, the bow tie already undone, the second glass poured for someone who has not asked for it.
